Weighing Retrofit Program

Updating your weighing system with current technology and communications reduces the operating cost of your plant. With this retrofit program, you can upgrade your existing weighing equipment at a fraction of the cost of a new complete system. Our integrators offer the latest microprocessor technology for reliable process management, and you can choose from a range of rugged belt scales and speed sensors to fit your application needs. Our regional customer service center is there to help you get the most from your weighing system.

Communications with Siemens Milltronics integrators
Our Milltronics BW 100 and Milltronics BW 500 integrators offer reliable, state-of-the-art communications and are easy to program and calibrate. The patented electronic load cell-balancing feature makes them world leaders in belt scale system accuracy: up to ± 0.25%, depending on the belt scale selected. They operate with any belt scale system with a weigh bridge that uses strain gauge load cells, or LVDTs as the measurement transducer. They offer seamless integration of your weighing measurements into your control system using communication protocols such as PROFIBUS DP, Allen-Bradley® Remote I/O and DeviceNetTM. A Modbus® RTU modem card is available for wireless transfer of data. SIWAREX FTC module is also available for PLC-based weighing system integration.

High quality belt scales and speed sensors
Our belt scales are industry-leading products designed to suit heavy-duty applications. Either in full construction or modular design, they are compact and easy to install, even in the most cramped quarters. Designed to last, our speed sensors provide reliable signals to the integrator for calculation of belt speed, flow rate and totalized weight. These shaft-driven or wheel-driven speed sensors detect true belt speed, rather than drive motor speed.
