PROFIBUS
The perfect fit for the process industry
PROFIBUS is a universal, open fieldbus which permits
  • fast communication with intelligent, distributed I/O devices (PROFIBUS with DP system) as well as
  • communication and simultaneous powering for transmitters and actuators (2-wire powered even called MBP Manchester Bus Protocoll).
In addition to the enormous savings resulting from the reduction in cabling and input/output hardware, the significantly greater amount of information associated with digital data transmission implies significant cost advantages for plant operation and maintenance.
