Hydrostatic

The SITRANS P pressure/differential pressure transmitters (measuring range from 0 to 1 mbar) allow the level to be determined directly or via pressure sensors. While level metering in open containers can be done by measuring the hydrostatic bottom pressure using an MS or MKII series pressure transmitter, for metering in closed containers, the use of differential pressure transmitters (DS III series) is required.

A value for money alternative for non-aggressive liquids e.g. water/liquid waste is the SITRANS P MPS cylinder probe.
