The behavior of the position controller can now be adapted even better to requirements with new parameters. SIPART PS2 provides information from its ”environment” with additional diagnostic functions. All diagnostic features are included as a standard (without additional charge) in each device
Offline Diagnostics:
- Operating hours
- Number of Strokes
- Changes of direction
- Number of fault messages
- Number of alarms
- Temperature
- Number of operating hours in temperature range
- Number of operating hours in actuating range
- Number of switching operations valves
- Setpoint current
Online Diagnostics:
- Alarm status based on NAMUR NE107
- Partial Stroke Test for on/off & control valves
- Pneumatic leakage
- Friction and blockage of a valve
- Stiction of the stuffing box
- Wear/tear of valve seat or valve plug
- Deposits or build-up on valve seat or valve plug
- Breaking of the valve plug or increasing deposits within the pipeline (constant flow process)
- Deadband
- Trend diagrams and histograms with SIMATIC PDM
